​​​In order to combat the consistent thefts which had become great night mare for the residents of ‘A' sector of Yelahanka New Town, a group of residents formed a team and did night beat in coordination with New Town Police which has later turned out to be the Citizens forum Yelahanka New Town. This movement had gained greater momentum and Started with a small team work the Forum have grown and today it became a mammoth Residential Welfare Association with around 900 life members recognized by the Local Government bodies and the Elected Members of the area.  Also Member of the Eco Group of BBMP and BWSSB.​

             PROJECT GREEN GLOW


Citizens Forum's prestigious project 'GREEN GLOW' Project’s award ceremony for the year 2013 was conducted in Janajyothy Educational Institutions. Kumari Ramya Cini Actress and Honorable M.P Lok Sabha was the chief guest and Honourable MLA Shri S.R.Viswanath, Renowned environmentalist Dr. Yellappa Reddy IFS  and Scientists from Indian Institute of Science Dr. Harish Bhatt and Dr.Chanakkya were the guest of honours. While all the participating Schools were given awards, Jnanajyothi Educational Institutions was awarded the rolling trophy.

Mr.Alphonso Jemonie has worked with hundreds of young rag pickers, giving them a place to assemble and a place to take classes to prepare them for employment. Having survived as an unskilled, unemployed youth himself, Alphonso wants to show the way for others.
